Boat Rentals

Author: Elizabeth Morgan

Renting a boat provides the ultimate freedom with all necessary support just a phone call away. The only criterion to be taken into account is that the boat can be rented only by people older that 18 years. They should be able to provide a valid driver's license to use any watercraft rental. Although, it is suggested wait until the person is 21 years old to rent a houseboat.

Emergency support is provided at all times for people renting the boats. 911 can be reached from the cell phone first, then call houseboat manager. Local sheriffs always patrol the lake so as to deal with most emergencies quickly.

Any vessel can be chosen from a wide variety offered by the rental agencies to suit the personal requirements. People can plan their own itinerary and enjoy independent holidays with family or close friends on a schedule of their own choosing.

Rental agencies usually provide the facilities, programs and services to persons of any race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or with any handicapping condition. It should be noted that discrimination in any form is illegal and can be reported to the authorities.

For a small party of 2 to 4 people, the "open utility" is the best choice. These utility boats are registered in a vast majority under the " utility" class. These are small boats with two or three seats. These utility boats are usually 12 to 19 feet in length and can be trailed, launched, and retrieved very easily and are the best option for fishing. They are also very easy to operate and maintain. However, they are unsuitable for large bodies of water.

These small boats can be rented for a minimum of two hours. They may also be reserved for an entire day or more if needed. Some rental agencies encourage walk-in rentals instead of prior reservation. But it depends on the number of boats available for rent on a particular day. The rent can be paid in advance along with security deposit for one day.

Other than the utility boats, houseboats, ski boats and other can also be rented for a peaceful vacation on water.
