Travel Tips You Shouldn't Leave Home Without!

Author: Jim Berger

For those who are planning on taking a trip in the near future, here are some tips and tricks to avoid or adapt to any unexpected surprises along the way.

For one thing you should have an itinerary setup of the general things you will be doing each day of your vacation. Make sure to leave a copy of this itinerary for friends or family. That way, in case of an emergency, they will have an idea of where you are and how to reach you.

Do not leave you personal belongings such as luggages, suitcases, etc lying around without supervision in public spaces. Similarly do not accept any packages or boxes from any strangers.

For those who are on extended leave abroad, such as 2 weeks or more, then you should register with the United Embassy in the country you are visiting so that if someone looks for you via the embassy, it makes things easier in terms of communication. Also if you get into any trouble at all you can contact the embassy.

Try to do a little research in advance and blend in with the local environment you are visiting in terms of the clothing and accessories you carry on you at any time. Try not to wear expensive jewelry or carry a large sum of money on you at any given time to reduce being a victim of crime.

These are just a few tips that you should never leave home and travel abroad without!
